Yang Hui (Hui) Ying was born in 1963 in Dingshu Town, Yixing, Jiangsu Province, at the ancient Dragon Kiln in Qianshu. she began to engage in the design and production of zisha pots in the 1980s, during which she went to the Nanjing Art Institute and Tsinghua University in Beijing for further correspondence studies. During his study and practice, he has accumulated various modelling and decorative skills, and has unique research on the modelling of pots, with profound skills and beautiful modelling, and has participated in many national arts and crafts exhibitions and won awards. The style of the pots he makes is elegant, and the plainware and flowerware have their own special features, with a variety of manners. His pots are like artworks, quiet and indifferent, fresh and unassuming, with traditional flavour and contemporary features. His works have been published by professional books and magazines for many times, and are favoured by pot enthusiasts and collectors all over the world.

Born in 1945 in Yixing, he studied at Yixing Zisha High School in 1958, and was inspired by Professor Pan Chunfang. After he was transferred to Zisha Crafts Factory, he learnt from the famous veteran artist Chen Fuyuan, and was later guided by Gu Jingzhou, one of the leading figures of contemporary pots, for a long period of time. He has been practising zisha for more than 50 years, and has studied the techniques of famous masters, collected the essence of each school, and integrated the artistic personality into one. He has created more than 100 new products, and has won the Gold Medal at the Leipzig International Fair in Germany, the Hundred Flowers Gold Cup Award for Chinese Arts and Crafts, the Gold Medal at the First Chinese Arts and Crafts Huayi Cup, and more than 20 provincial and national arts and crafts competitions and awards.
